error irish half crown

The 1961 mule half crown was struck in error

The 1961 mule half crowns are quite easy to detect . the picture shows the major errors

The -d- of 2s6d is open at the top on the mule but it is closed on a normal coin.

The tail on the mule has a slightly 'bell-shaped' sides with 8 hairs . the normal coin has a straight sided tail with 7 hairs. have look on my coin website. for more errors of the half crown. and more world coins.click on the picture of the irish half crown. to go to my website
